Targeting User Segments

Target announcements to specific groups of users based on custom properties you pass via the widget script tag.

How it works

  1. Pass custom properties via data-user-* attributes (e.g. data-user-plan="pro")
  2. When creating an announcement, click Target Segments
  3. Define rules like "plan equals pro" or "company equals Acme"
  4. Only users matching those rules will see the announcement

Page targeting

You can also target announcements to specific pages by entering URL patterns. The announcement will only show on pages matching those patterns.
