Segment targeting lets you show announcements only to specific groups of users.
Creating a segment rule
- When creating or editing an announcement, click Target Segments
- Add rules based on custom properties (e.g. "plan equals pro")
- Combine multiple rules — all must match for the user to see the announcement
Examples
- Show a "Premium feature" announcement only to free users to drive upgrades
- Target a "New API docs" update to users with role "developer"
- Announce a region-specific feature to users in a specific country
